Help Support SAA & the Mt. Eyak Ski Area with a Donation

The SAA is a local ski club contracted by the City of Cordova to operate and manage the Mt. Eyak Ski Area. Situated above the town, Mt Eyak Ski Area offers both Nordic and alpine skiing as well as snowboarding. This ski area is unique, as it features a historic 1939 American Steel and Wire single chair lift, originally acquired from the Sun Valley Ski Resort in 1974. The lift is a notable piece of skiing history. Additionally, there is a rope tow designed for beginners, making the bunny hill accessible to newcomers.

Mt. Eyak Ski Area holds great significance for the Cordova community, offering both recreational opportunities and a gathering place for locals to connect with nature and enjoy winter sports. The SAA is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization (EIN 92-0096115) that operates, manages, and maintains the ski area. It relies on membership fees, fundraisers, and donations to sustain its operations & snowsports programs and continue to provide this important community resource.
